Villa Nonna (Fiskardo)

Villa Nonna — A Historic Family Villa in Fiskardo Kefalonia
Set in the elevated village of Germenata, just moments from Fiskardo, Villa Nonna brings together incredible views, luxurious interiors and a family history stretching back to the 1800s.
This much-loved home has been passed down through generations of the same Greek family. The owners’ great-grandmother grew up here, and the building survived Kefalonia’s devastating 1953 earthquake. Carefully renovated to preserve its traditional Kefalonian character, it welcomed its first holiday guests in 2024.
Inside, thoughtful design brings comfort and elegance to this historic home. Beautifully furnished rooms, natural textures and carefully chosen details complement the original character, creating a luxurious yet welcoming atmosphere. Each space feels considered, with room to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
The original stone oven and traditional wine press remain outside, offering glimpses of the everyday life once lived here. During our stay, we found ourselves drawn to the old windows, looking out at the scenery and imagining the generations who had stood in the same spot before us.
Villa Nonna comfortably sleeps six guests across three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. One bedroom also benefits from a separate entrance and small living room, offering extra privacy for friends or families travelling together. A fully equipped kitchen, private pool, garden and private parking make it a comfortable base for exploring northern Kefalonia.
Spend slow days beside the pool, discover nearby Emplisi and Kimilia beaches, or head into Fiskardo for waterfront dining and a wander around its colourful harbour.
For us, the care taken over both the restoration and the interiors made the family story feel present throughout our stay—a beautiful place to experience a small piece of Kefalonia’s past.
